shower meditation (poem)
floating in the shower,
face up to the light,
auroras around the tap,
water reverses course.
it returns home in a mist,
turns my skin into a nomad,
but i feel the warmest freeze,
no need to dry off.
i can close my eyes and think of nothing
for once, no fears nor goals
finally.
i didn’t realize i could be so silent
is this happiness?
the music attacks my heart’s breath
too autonomic to sympathize with,
i forget about my arms
if they’re touching the ground or my body.
i leave into the towel,
clothing on, bliss off,
no more transcendental feeling,
paradise behind me,
euphoria awaits,
i am free.
